The Comptroller, Federal Operations Unit, Zone A, Comptroller Kola Oladeji has decorated newly promoted officers in the unit, emphasising the importance of diligence, professionalism, and discipline. The Decoration ceremony held at the FOU ‘A’ headquarters at Ikeja, Lagos, on Tuesday, 28 January 2025.Comptroller Oladeji congratulated the promoted officers, acknowledging their exceptional dedication and outstanding performance.
“Your promotion is not a right, but a privilege bestowed on you by NCS because of your exceptional dedication, integrity, and outstanding performance,” Oladeji said. He explained that the Service under the leadership of the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC) Adewale Adeniyi, has demonstrated remarkable fairness and thoroughness in selecting the very best among it’s officers for promotion, ensuring that merit and performance remains the only condition for promotion. The unit head advised the officers to always display discipline in the discharge of their duties. “To whom much is given, much is expected. You should continue to make sure you always show those qualities that is expected from you in enforcing the mandates assigned by the service.”The promoted officers expressed gratitude to the CGC and promised to work harder to ensure the successful execution of the NCS mandates.
