The on going political rift between former Governor Nyesom Wike and the embattled present governor of Rivers State Siminalayi Fubara has continued unabated as Warri is on the edge. This is because Ijaw people have taken to the streets in a massive protest against Nyesom Wike’s remarks on the Ijaw ethnic nationality.
The Protesters are demanding his immediate removal as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), insisting that his comments are an insult to the Ijaw people. The demonstration has intensified, with chants and banners calling for justice and respect for the Ijaw nation. Our reporter has it that security forces are on the ground as tensions continue to rise.
