President Tinubu Extends Invitation To Gnessingbe Of Togo

In a Strategic political move to foster unity amongst West African Countries the Presidency has held a constructive meeting with the President of Togo , H.E Faure Gnassingbè in the Presidential Palace in Lomé to extend an invitation of the President of Nigeria President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the first ever West Africa Economic Summit taking place in Nigeria on 20th-21st June 2025. Nigeria and Togo share strong diplomatic and economic ties as strong allies and strategic partners. Their relationship is characterized by a long history of cooperation and a shared vision for unity and progress in the West African sub-region. President Gnassingbé lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for this well timed initiative, stressing the need for West Africa’s leaders to keep working actively to strengthen regional integration through various initiatives, trade and economic partnerships which need to be effected in a climate of peace, with strategic engagement of Africa’s youthful population, security collaborations and joint efforts in regional development.
