The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority ( NCAA), has said that 5N – BZY aircraft belonging to Rano Air will remain on ground pending the determination of the incident involving the airline. The aircraft experienced failure on one of its engine few minutes after take off, from Kano enroute Sokoto. Immediately, the appropriate Safety Protocols were activated on the ground for landing. Smoke was noticed in the cabin and flight deck areas. Oxygen masks were donned.The pilot successfully landed at exactly 3:34 pm local time after the incident was swiftly reported to the Air Traffic Control, leading to the cancellation of the flight out of Sokoto.The NCAA says it prioritizes safety. The records are clear. More advanced countries have worse air incidents than Nigeria because, here , flights will get cancelled if there is the slightest concern about safety.
