The Ihiagwa Community have issued a stern warning to opposition politicians in Imo State, urging them to stop politicizing the ongoing reconstruction of FUTO-Ihiagwa Road. The Community Leader Chief Chinedu Kingsley Ekeh however emphasized that those spreading these accusations do not represent the Ihiagwa community and. have never contributed meaningfully to its development or attracted any significant projects.
He expressed gratitude to the Imo State Government for initiating the road reconstruction and building a new bridge to connect Ihiagwa with the Obinze community. Despite challenges posed by heavy rainfall, which has slowed progress, noting that the work is actively ongoing. Acknowledging the numerous demands placed on the state government by various communities, Ekeh praised the government for responding to their pleas and prioritizing the road project. and he condemned individuals exploiting the recent burial of an Ihiagwa son to attack the government, labeling them as “busy bodies” and “enemies of Ihiagwa’s progress.” “The Community called for unity and urged detractors to cease using the community’s name for political gain, reaffirming their support for the Imo State Government’s efforts to improve infrastructure in the Community”Gov Hope Uzodimma is doing well and constructed the interchange bridge at ihiagwa, people should stop playing politics when the government is doing well and working”
