Apapa Command Area Comptroller Calls for Discipline, Stakeholder-Friendly Operations.

Nigeria Customs Area Controller of Apapa Command, Emmanuel Oshoba, has called on officers and men of the command to ensure discipline and stakeholder-friendly operations. The Comptroller warned that delays and misconduct will henceforth not be Accepted. He gave the starn warning during a parade at the command’s Head office in Apapa on Tuesday, 12 May 2026. Comptroller Oshoba said, protecting the reputation of the Nigeria Customs Service must not be compromised and should be every officer’s Priority. He warned that “Officers must protect the reputation of the service. That is why any delay by any officer concerning any consignment will not be tolerated. Even at the gates. If a consignment is duly exited, please, there should be no delay at the gates.”

Comptrroller Oshoba stated that professionalism, integrity, and respect for stakeholders are key to the Comptroller-General’s agenda, and warned officers against actions that could be an impediment to professionalism and service delivery of Nigeria Custom Service.” You must make yourself accessible to our stakeholders, and we must all avoid actions capable of tarnishing the good image of the service and the good work being done by the CGC and members of his management. We should not be seen as slugs in the wheels of progress”, While harping on the importance of discipline as the foundation of effective service delivery, Oshoba pointed out that obedience to lawful instructions remains non-negotiable within the command. He urged officers to continue working together towards the success of the Command and the overall achievement of the Nigeria Customs Service.
