The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Amed Tinunu ably represented by Professor Jesse Uneke on the 38 Convocation Ceremony of Federal University of Technology stated that President tasked the Tertiary Institutions on sustainable funding, cited N50 billion for earned allowances and Solar projects which he attributed as good omen and sacrifice for Excellent performance of Federal Universities of Technology. In the same vein the Pro-Chancellor & Chairman of 13th Governing Council – spoke at the Convocation highlighted that currently University Administration has, in recent years, recorded impressive achievements in virtually all areas essential to institutional development Other dignitaries’ who graced the Ceremony include Chancellor HRH Alhaji Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha who expressed delight at celebrating the new graduates who have been found worthy in character and learning. He noted that FUTO has, over the past four decades, led the vanguard of Institutions dedicated to Technological Education and Training in Nigeria. He however commended the 8th substantive Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nnenna N. Oti, for lifting the university to unprecedented heights in academics, research, and innovationGov. Hope Uzodimma on the Convocation Lecturer entitled “Nigerian Universities of Technology Must Lead in the Fourth Industrial Revolution or Jeopardize the Nation’s Future, in his comment “We either sit at the table or stare on the menu. The choice is ours” Pro-Chancellor praised VC Prof. Nnenna Oti’s administration for impressive achievements in virtually all areas essential to Institutional Development.
