As campaign for supremacy over the presidential seat of Nigeria continue to gather momentum 500 Rainbow Coalition staunch members who have been supporting APC have dropped their support and plan to work against APC come 2027 general election across the South East. Speaking with some members of the Coalition at Rock View Hotel Owerri, Imo State over the weekend Chief Sam Amaze said that APC has failed Nigerians because of their obnoxious policies which has wrecked the economy of this nation and by extension starved over 250 million people. He highlighted that, the Economy as the main ballot Issue, Inflation, naira value, fuel price, food price, unemployment stressing that opposition had made the election a referendum on cost-of-living, that hurts the people and APC have failed to campaign on reforms yielding good results that will convince Nigerians to vote APC in January 2027 general election. “Security and FUTO-type incidents, Kidnappings, banditry in Northwest, herdsmen-farmer clashes in North-Central and Imo axis, sit-at-home in Southeast. Voters will ask who can secure campuses, roads, farms. Any spike in attacks close to the election will be used against the ruling party”. Amaze further stated that Internal APC cracks like Rainbow Coalition, Zoning, fuel subsidy fallout, Rivers/Lagos/Kano APC factions, and who Tinubu picked as running mate might contribute to their downfall adding that APC has failed already without alternative plan on economy/security multiple opposition candidates attacking each other instead of APC relying only on social media without polling-unit structure in rural North contributed to their failure.
