For clarity, the Nanagement of Air Peace have said that, the flight disruptions experienced at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport( NAIA) Abuja recently was caused due to the unavailability of JET -A1 which did not affect the airline alone. This, the airline said was necessary to clarify due to reports, and footages circulating across several media platforms whereby some of the esteemed passengers of the airline expressed concerns over the delay.The initial delay on the Abuja operations according the airline was basically due to lack of Jet A1, which also affected other airlines operating from the same airport, and however explained that, the affected flights immediately commenced operations when the situation was brought under control. The airline said its Abuja–Maiduguri service on the day could not operate as planned and also that an extension had initially been granted for the flight and by the time the aircraft was ready for boarding, prevailing VFR conditions meant for the extension was no longer tenable hence the flight could not operate beyond sunset.
Throughout the delayed period, the airline said its passengers were duly informed of the development, and provided with refreshments and later hotel accommodation, with adequate arrangements made to operate the next day after its operation was previously hampered.”We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused to our esteemed passengers and appreciate their patience and understanding. At Air Peace, the safety and wellbeing of our passengers remain paramount, and we will continue to prioritise these considerations in all our operations'”, The Management state.
