The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Port & Terminal Multi Services Limited (PTML) Command, has charged stakeholders on Strict compliance of National Single Window (NSW) regulations to support the efforts geared towards enhancing trade operations and safeguard the integrity of the newly launched platform.The Controller of PTML Area Command, Comptr Joe Anani gave the charge at the three-day sensitization programme on Tuesday, 31 March 2026, organised by the NCS in conjunction with the NSW Project Secretariat, aimed at addressing capacity building, strengthening compliance, and promoting effective utilisation of the platform.The Comptroller, described the National Single Window as a collective national project that requires regular engagement from all players to facilitate.“This is not just a single window for one agency; it is a national project, the ongoing sensitization is essential to safeguard the system and ensure adherence to laid-down standards”,.The Comptroller pointed out that enforcement mechanisms are in place to prevent abuse and maintain the integrity of the platform. He charged all stakeholders to align and ensure total compliance with operational procedures of NSW.
“I urge you to use this platform to learn, test its features and seek clarification where necessary.”In his remarks the Controller of ICT/Modernisation Unit, Comptroller Christopher Fanyam, further spoke on the importance of post-launch sensitization as a vital phase in the rollout of the initiative. According to him: “The platform simplifies regulatory processes by providing a single interface through which traders can obtain approvals from agencies, including the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON)”“The ongoing sensitization focuses on practical application, including access to the portal, navigation of its features and accurate documentation”, he added.The 3 day sensitization program is part of sustained efforts by the NSW Project Secretariat to consolidate gains from the platform’s launch, enhance trade efficiency, and ensure seamless trade Facilitation in Nigeria.
