In what has become an annual ritual, Healing Heart Foundation (HHF), during the immediate past year, precisely 21st December, 2024, deepened her compassionate gesture towards the Nigerian widows, and the down trodden in the society. The foundation distributed several bags of rice, beans, garri and various food items to over 500 widows who gathered at 15/17, Abimbola Street, Isolo Lagos for the annual occasion. The president and founder of Healing Heart Foundation (HHF), Rev Sophy Mbanisi, who could not hide her joy, in her opening remarks, thanked God profoundly for the gift of life, protection and the overwhelming support on the lives of the widows who gathered for the celebration. She explained that, the giant strides of HHF in putting smiles on the faces of the widows who are now married to Jesus would continue to grow in leaps and bound with the strong belief as a woman of God that the jar of oil would not dry since its anchored on Christ. Speaking to newsmen, Rev Mbanisi declared; ”Every year, we are growing in numbers. We are hitting about 800 before, that was 5 years ago, so you can imagine what the turn out would be looking at the crowd if we had shared our fliers. When the end of the year was approaching, we distributed some letters to our sponsors, I was convinced that, no matter the situation that we must do something. God indeed works mysteriously seeing that everyone here today is going home with something to feed their families. My prayer is for their trust to be in God and not in man, we keep telling them to stop going from place to place, looking for help. Like the widow we adopted here today, when she was coming she didn’t know that what happened today would happen. People must put their trust in God because he’s the husband of the widows”.The Special guest of honour, and Deputy Women Leader of All Progressive Congress (APC), Lagos State, Hon. kehinde Babalola Ajini who was in attendance eulogized the Founder of HHF and therefore urged the widows to take solace in the promises of God who she said will not forsake them in all things. She however encouraged them to remain steadfast and put their complete trust in him.Meanwhile, the sponsors of the program who contributed both cash and kinds like; Tiger Foods, Raymond Obieri Foundation Erisco Foods, Ajinomoto, Banex Group, Promasidor Foods , Nestle , Bozac, Fair Deal Continental Limited, Royal Salt, Blue Moon Hotel, Krisoral and Company Limited Glencoe Chuvie Decor etc, were applauded during the celebration. The widows who were drawn from different chapters in Lagos State were treated with special numbers from among them, who also testified the goodness of God in their lives.
