The return of Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States of America on Monday January 20, 2025 after four years away from the position is indeed a fascinating story and offers serious political research material for political historians. To some his story compares to the proverbial Cat with nine lives, because of the many fights he faced along the way which includes the legal battles. Although some may say most if not all were self inflicted.
As expected Trump has wasted no time making his intentions known as to the way his Presidency would go, through some of the executive bills he signed immediately after his inauguration. He equally has set the tone for a possible end to the ‘needless’ war between Russia and Ukraine by taking a strong stance on the matter, making emphatic statements on the Hamas and Israel war. Trump’s personal confidence and his awareness of the enormous power he wields as President of the world’s most powerful country, the USA are the two critical components needed for him to succeed in this his second coming. Some would say that it’s dark times again for the United States but others think it’s actually a time that it’s time has come and nothing will stop it from fulfilling it’s purpose.
For what it’s worth, his electoral victory and assumption of office as the number one citizen of his country and by extension the world at large, leaves a big lesson for other world leaders and individuals who have constantly sought to be accepted by being ‘politically correct ‘ a phrase that has come to haunt our common humanity; which is gradually reducing our commonly shared human morals. Love him or loath him, Trump is back for a reason and it calls on world leaders to see the need to return to the human and moral values that had kept the world standing in the in all the battles it had faced for many centuries till today. For the records this piece is not a eulogy on Donald J. Trump or total endorsement of his character and person or morals but a simple call on the world to see the need and urgent importance to embrace common humanity and take a strong stance on the religious teachings that have long been the basis for healthy human existence. While Trump may not be the perfect example of the above comments, there are definitely lessons to take from his ‘brash and uncompromising’ attitude to devine order and laws. God bless the world leaders and grant them the grace and wisdom to be divinely correct even when it hurts the world rather than being ‘politically correct’.
