The President of Igbo National Congress(ING), the family of Igboayaka and Members of Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) has raised alarm that Igboayaka has collapsed three times since Monday 10th February, 2025 in the Police Cell of the Anti Kidnapping Unit of Ebonyi State Police Command. They alleged that Governor Francis Ogbonna Erishi Nwifuru of Ebonyi State ordered the forceful abduction and arrest of Comrade Igboayaka Igboayaka in Owerri on Saturday 8th February, 2025 in a Neo Mafia Gestapo Commando style after Igboayaka defeated the Governor’s candidate for the position of the President of Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC).
Governor Francis Ogbonna Erishi Nwifuru was shocked by the news of second term victory of Comrade Igboayaka Igboayaka as the President of Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) at the fourth National Election Convention of the Council which held in Owerri. Godsent said that the body language of the Ebonyi State Government House is that Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is very afraid that the Leadership of Igboayaka as the President of Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) may not support his second term bid as Governor of Ebonyi State in the forthcoming 2027 general elections because of the accusations that Gov. Nwifuru is anti Igbo and has not been able to create jobs and employment for Ebonyi State Youths since his reign as Governor.
“We wish to state without equivocation that the Ebonyi State Police Command has brutally violated the Fundamental Human Rights of Comrade Igboayaka Igboayaka as the apex Youth President of the Igbo Nation. We view this as an insult on the Igbo Youths and also a declaration of war against the Igbo Youths all over the world. Adding that Consequent upon the above, the Igbo National Council (INC) therefore demand the immediate and unconditional release of the President of Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) – Comrade Igboayaka Igboayaka or we shall declare Political Fatwar on Governor Francis Ogbonna Erishi Nwifuru soon.
