In an effort to establish a robust educational system for public schools in Orlu, the Honourable Member Representing Orlu Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Nze Dr. Barr. Ikenna Martin Ihezuo, visited the Comprehensive Secondary School and Primary school in Umuzike, Orlu, to ascertain the level of dilapidation.The all important visit was aimed at checking the level of damage and dilapidation on the schools’ buildings which was a pitiable sight to behold. The benevolent lawmaker arrived at the Comprehensive Secondary school premises as scheduled to the delight of the Principal Mrs. Ekeh M. N , who was joined by the President General of Umuzike, Barr. Charles Onyebukwa, the Vice President General, Hon. Patrick Agukwe; the Woman Leader, Dr. Mrs. Felicity Okoro; the youth leader, Mr. Christian Adom and other notable dignitaries from Umuzike community.
The amiable legislator who was not happy with the level of neglect and abandonment, assured the principal, students, school management and the people of Umuzike of his commitment to creating a more efficient educational system in Orlu, in line with the vision of the amiable Governor, Hope Uzodinma, whose administration is poised to reviving the educational system in Imo State. Ihezuo who made this presentation in Orlu also visited Umuzike Primary school to see the level of decay of the school buildings, further promised to be totally involved in the rehabilitation of both schools through his Legislative duties in the Imo State House of Assembly, for a more engaging and efficient learning environment, which will help the students and pupils to adapt to a harmonious environment that would foster critical thinking, learning capabilities and creativity.
The Orlu representative in the Imo State House of Assembly, who has taken significant steps in ensuring inclusively and quality education in Orlu, is determined to transform the education landscape for the benefit of the teachers, students and pupils to experience inclusive learning environment.
