Comptroller Shuaibu Takes Charge Of FOU Zone A

Comptroller Mohammed Shuaibu, has officially resumed duty at FOU ZONE ‘A’ following the redeployment of his predecessor, Comptroller Kola Oladeji, to the Service’s headquarters. According to a press release issued by the Unit’s Public Relations Officer, Chief Superintendent of Customs Hussaini Abdullahi, Comptroller Shuaibu becomes the 28th officer to head FOU Zone ‘A’. Speaking during a brief handing- over ceremony on Wednesday 23 April, 2025 at the Unit’s headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos, Comptroller Shuaibu expressed his commitment to enhancing the operational efficiency of the Unit.

He pledged to leverage his experience to navigate the complexities of the Unit’s responsibilities. He solicited the support and maximum cooperation of officers and men of the Unit to deliver on the mandate of the Service. Shuaibu emphasised the importance of adhering to the service’s seven 7 Golden Rules (7Cs) to always guide the actions and decisions of officers. Expressing his gratitude to God and to the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC), Adewale Adeniyi, for the opportunity to serve, Shuaibu expressed optimism that the Unit will excel in its mandates. Earlier in the ceremony, the outgoing Comptroller, Kola Oladeji, encouraged his successor to sustain the Unit’s operational momentum and expressed confidence in his ability to enhance it’s efficiency. He also expressed gratitude to the CGC and the management team for the opportunity to serve, while expressing appreciation to the officers and men for their support throughout his tenure.
