The Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR has reached a strategic inter-agency collaboration for improved national revenue generation with the Accountant General of the Federation (AGF) Shaamsuden Ogunjimi. The ground breaking collaboration took place on Wednesday, 7 May 2025 at Customs Headquarters, in Abuja. While welcoming the delegation, CGC Adeniyi described the visit as symbolic and timely, reaffirming Customs’ commitment to bridging fiscal gaps through innovation and accountability. He also hailed Ogunjimi’s inter-agency initiative to create joint training programmes, promising Customs’ full support. In his response, the Accountant-General of the Federation expressed appreciation for the warm reception and commended the CGC’s leadership style. He pledged the readiness of his office to partner with Customs in advancing public finance transparency and capacity development.
