The Comptroller of Port Terminal Multipurpose Service limited ( PTML)Area Command CAC Joe Anani has disclosed that the command generated an increased revenue of ₦116,243,603,670.58 (one hundred and sixteen billion, two hundred and forty-three million, six hundred and three thousand, six hundred and seventy naira, fifty eight Kobo). as total revenue generated from July – September 2025 He disclosed this during a Media briefing held at the PTML Area Command office on Friday 23, 2025. Comptroller Joe Anani pointed out that the collected quarterly revenue represents 34.3 percent higher than the ₦86,584,012,733.43 (eighty six billion, five hundred and eighty four million, twelve thousand, seven hundred and thirty three naira, forty three Kobo) collected during the third quarter of 2024. The CAC while reviewing the operations of the command from January 2025 disclosed that ” From Jan-Sept, this command recorded a total collection of ₦350,347,173,787.92 (three hundred and fifty billion, three hundred and forty seven million, one hundred and seventy three thousand, seven hundred and eighty seven naira, ninety two Kobo). He attributed the increased revenue generation to the dynamic and effective Leadership of CGC Adewale Bashir Adeniyi , application of the B’Odogwu App and the compliance of stakeholders in the PTMLArea Command. Speaking on the Anti- Snuggling activities of the command Comptroller Anani said;”Our anti-smuggling and enforcement drives remain intact without compromise”He stated that PTML Area command will not compromise on safeguarding national security on the altar of trade facilitation.
According to the CAC the command during the period under review also made the following seizures 1. One (1) WE Tactical made in Taiwan Airsoft pistol.2. Two (2) magazines and 12 rounds of live ammunitions.3. 1x40ft container with marks and number ACLU9806850 falsely declared as magnetic resonance imaging apparatus but upon 100% examination found to contain 6,262 cartons of antibiotics of various brands.4. Also, 1X20FT container with marks and number GCNU1275880 falsely declared as supermarket items but upon 100% examination found to contain pharmaceutical drugs.The Duty Paid Value of the two containers was Two Hundred Million Naira only (#200,000,000.00)Comptroller Joe Anani commended stakeholders for their compliance to Customs Operational status.
