The Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs Joy Edelduok outgoing head of Kirikiri Light Terminal Command, has not only displayed out standing leadership but brought far more reaching reforms, renewed stakeholder confidence and improved operational efficiency, of the Command . As she bows out leaving a legacy of strong collaboration and compliance..The CAC who was recently Prompted to the post of ACG addressing her colleague’s , officers and men at her send-forth ceremony held on Monday, 1 December described her time at KLT as a transformative journey that brought milestones , quantum leap growth of the Command’s operations.”Since my duration on board, we have brought quite a lot of changes here. For instance, before now terminals were Moribond but by the grace of God, some are now very active as new ones have come on board like ESS Libra”, she said.
“Now, we can confidently say they handle up to 60 containers monthly. These achievements were made possible through strong collaboration with our sister agencies and by ensuring the Command remains a friendly and efficient environment”, she added. The Comptroller highacted the proficie mmncy and 48hrs clearance proc48jrsess, noting that it has encouraged investor confidence and enhanced operational efficiency. According to her, the Command recorded a 24 percent increase in revenue performance compared to the previous year, a development she described to teamwork and improved compliance.She commended officers, sister agencies, and stakeholders for their support and dedication, assuring them that her open-door policy would remain intact even after leaving the Command.
She urged them to continue working in unity to sustain the gains recorded during her tenure.The ceremony featured goodwill messages and commendations from senior officers and port stakeholders, celebrating ACG Edelduok’s leadership style and her commitment to fostering seamless port operations.
