The Controller of Nigeria Custom Seme Area Command Comptr Adewale Adenuga Urges men and officers of the Command to always maintain best professional standards The CAC pointed this out while celebrating two outstanding officers, Deputy Comptroller (DC) Audu Edime, who headed the scanning unit, and Chief Superintendent of Customs (CSC) Isah Sulaimon, the outgoing Public Relations Officer, for their exemplary contributions to operations along the Lagos–Abidjan corridor.The send-forth ceremony which held on Tuesday, 2 December 2025 had in attendance sister security agencies, stakeholders, and members of the border community who joined the command to celebrate diligence and dedication to service of the two outstanding officers.
The Comptroller Wale Adenuga commended the outstanding and exemplary dedication of the two officers. He described the wo officers as excellent professionals who in the courses of carrying out their duties have set a high standard for others to follow.“Today, we gather to honour our PRO and DC Edime”, he said. “Sulaimon’s excellent work ethics have contributed immensely to the achievements of this Command. His service as my spokesperson has made my role as Area Controller more effective and seamless.”The CAC appreciated the outgoing PRO for his dynamism and strategic roles in every major milestone achievements of Seme Area Command “I am not surprised he is being elevated today. As he progresses to the next phase of his career, I will continue to maintain a positive relationship with him”, he added. Adenuga also commended the harmonious collaboration between sister agencies and other critical stakeholders, describing them as a united force that has helped sustain a conducive business environment at the Seme border. In an emotional laden speech, CSC Sulaimon expressed gratitude to the Area Controller for his support and purpose driven leadership. “I was able to give my best because my CAC provided an enabling environment”, he said. “I am grateful to the Service for the opportunity to serve and contribute meaningfully to the Nigerian state.” The high point of the ceremony was the out pouring of goodwill messages from sister agencies, stakeholders, and well-wishers.The celebration of excellence by the Seme Area Command aligns with the new visions leadership of CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi (MFR) aimed at motivating and promoting professionalism among officers of the Nigeria Customs Service.
