The Ports Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTM L) Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has recorded an increased revenue as the command collection a total of ₦424.58 billion as of Friday, December 12, 2025. This is a giant leap from its full-year performance for 2024.The Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Joe Anani, disclosed this at the 2025 end-of-year party organised by the Customs Officers Wives Association (COWA), PTML Chapter. The comptroller pointed out that that the figure represents a significant leap from the command’s ₦362.5 billion total revenue in 2024—an increase of over ₦62 billion, even before the end of the year.The Area Controller said the improved revenue performance reflects the strategic impact of the Unified Customs Management System (UCMS), also known as B’Odogwu, According to the CAC strategic implementation of the B’ Odogwu holds even greater prospects for efficiency and revenue optimisation.He stated that 2025 has been as an eventful and successful year for the command and credited the achievements to the visionary and dynamic leadership of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, PhD. Comptroller Ananni also disclosed that the PTML Command is working towards achieving one-hour cargo clearance for compliant Roll-on Roll-off (RoRo) consignments by 2026.Speaking on the anti-smuggling operations of the command Comptroller Anani highlighted the command’s successes in preventing the importation of illicit and expired drugs, arms and ammunition, and other prohibited items capable of endangering public safety. The CAC lauded the seizure of cocaine valued at ₦29.4 billion, which was handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), describing it as a major enforcement milestone.
The Area Controller attributed the command’s overall success to the strong collaboration it enjoys with key stakeholders and sister agencies. He expressed appreciation to the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), among others, for their continued support and called for more collaborative efforts Mrs Caroline Ifeoluwa Anani, Chairperson of COWA, PTML Chapter, described the end-of-year party as part of the command’s enduring tradition of unity and togetherness. She noted that 2025 was particularly impactful for the association, as COWA played very significant roles aimed at enhancing staff welfare and productivity, emphasising that a productive workforce is shaped from the home front.Mrs Anani pointed out that that during the year, the PTML COWA chapter implemented several welfare initiatives, including mental health awareness programmes, blood pressure and blood sugar tests, eye screening and treatment, and the distribution of medicated glasses.The PTML COWA Chapter chairperson added that the association also organised seminars on home management, nutrition, family care, and provided souvenirs for COWA spouses within the command.The event which was well attended by Officers wives also witnessed the donation of food items to women and children, presented by the COWA Chairperson to mark the Yuletide season.
