Mrs. IJEOMA NWOSUIGBO FAAN GM PUBLIC AFFAIRS BOWS OUT IN HONOUR.

It was the gathering of colleagues, family, friends and well wishers today at the headquarters of FAAN, precisely at the boardroom of the authority, where the sent forth ceremony of mrs Nwosuigbo, the General Manager, Public Affairs, took place.Mrs Nwosuigbo joined FAAN in the early 2000 and beginning from that time, she demonstrated love for her job which made her to become an accomplished administrator and communication strategist which she is today. Throughout the period of her stewardship in FAAN as many testified, there was no dull moment such that She remained focused and treated every job assigned to her by her superiors with sense of urgency.

Although that was expected from someone who joined the authority on grade level 10, far back 24 years ago when her aviation career started.It was a testimony galore by her associates, colleagues and subordinates who worked and came across Mrs Nwosuigbo, for more than two umblemish decades she sojourned in FAAN. Those who spoke described her as a woman who knew what she wanted in FAAN and also as a boss who had something to offer anyone who needed her help.Quoting from the citation read by a Deputy General Manager in her department ” Mrs Ijeoma Nwosu-igbo is an accomplished Public Affairs professional and seasoned administrator whose career in the aviation sector has been marked by dedication, professionakism and impactful service.”

Throughout her distinguished career spanning over two decades, Mrs Nwosu-igbo played a pivotal role in strengthening the Authority’s communication strategy, enhancing public engagement and promoting the image of FAAN within Nigeria and beyond. Her work contributed significantly to shaping the narrative of the Nigeria aviation industry through effective media relations, strategic communication and stakeholders engagement”.Her leadership style according to many that spoke was something that those in her department and close associates in FAAN would miss greatly. Meanwhile, the retiring GM when the time came for her to address the august gathering however thanked everyone especially the MD/CEO, Mrs Olubunmi Kuku, who she said created enabling environment that everyone in FAAN is witnessing presently.

She however thanked everyone that gathered to honour her and her family at the occasion. She had a word for the younger ones in FAAN which was; ” Take your job seriously and be ready to learn new thing if you desire to grow and make impact in FAAN”.Prayers were offered to God to give the retiring GM good health in body and in mind to enjoy her retirement blessings while those who are still in active service prayed also that, they should be celebrated and honoured when their own time comes.
