The Nigeria Customs Officers’ Wives Association (COWA), PTML Chapter, on THURSDAY June 18, 2026 reiterated its commitment to advancing welfare and empowerment initiatives for officers’ wives and families as it begins a new chapter of service.The commitment was made at the gathering of officers and men of the Nigeria Customs Service, COWA executives, and other stakeholders at the PTML Command .The Acting Chairperson of COWA PTML, Hajiya Nabila Miko pointed this out when she was speaking at the gathering. The Chairperson emphasised the association’s commitment to sustain ongoing programmes while expanding initiatives aimed at improving the lives of officers’ wives and their families.Haijiya Nabilia Miko acknowledged the contribution of her predecessor, Mrs. Ifeoluwa Anani, noting that her tenure laid a solid foundation for the chapter’s growth and impact.“My predecessor Mrs. Ifeoluwa Anani served with passion and integrity, and the impact of her tenure is visible across all our programmes. I am committed to building on the achievements and successes of her administration while also breaking new ground for the promotion of COWA objectives and the enhancement of the welfare of Customs officers’ wives,”. The Acting Customs Area Controller of PTML Command, Deputy Comptroller of Customs Nura Miko in his remarks , described COWA as a vital partner in advancing the welfare of officers and strengthening family support systems within the Service.”I also use this opportunity to thank the COWA National President, Mrs. Kikelomo Adeniyi, for her visionary leadership that continues to strengthen all chapters nationwide. Her guidance is felt all over the service,” He said. Stakeholders at the event expressed optimism about the chapter’s future and reiterated their support for initiatives geared towards empowerment, unity, and improved welfare for Customs families.
