In a ground breaking innovative and strategic communication the Nigeria Customs Service has launched Novara, a 79-episode television series produced by the Service, The real life Teleseries showcases the professionalism, risks, and sacrifices of officers in protecting national interest. The highly edu- entertaining Nevera premiere too ok place Saturday, 25 April 2026 at Jara Mall, Lagos,. The premiere had in attendance the top brass of Customs officers, members of the cast & crew, and key stakeholders. Speaking at the event the Customs Area Controller, Apapa Area Command, Comptroller Emmanuel Oshoba,commended the cast and crew l for the jiggly intelligent and entertaining production.. Accounting to Cmptr Oshoba:“It is a strategic initiative aimed at showcasing the professionalism, integrity, and sacrifices of our officers in the discharge of their duties”, Oshoba said.
“Novara provides a unique opportunity to deepen public understanding of the critical role the service plays in national security, trade facilitation, and economic growth.”In his remarks the Area Controller of Port & Terminal Multi-Services Limited (PTML), Command commended the production team for their professionalism , eschewing personal sentiments and balancing accuracy in the Novara Television series “You translated Customs operations to compelling drama without losing the truth. You captured our risks, our resolve and our humanity. We are indebted to your craft.” Relieving their experiences while on set members of the cast described their time on set as a “life experience,” as the production brought them to full realities of the challenges and everyday risk Customs officers face in carrying out their duties. Key industry players and prominent Stakeholders who witnessed the premiere of the Television series appreciated the Comptroller-General of Customs Adewale Bashir Adenyi (MFR) for his visionary and innovation leader.
They commend the CGC for deploying motion pictures to communicate the Service’s core mandates as well as the daily sacrifices of its officers and men. The highly edu- entertaining Novara tells the story of Customs officers navigating complex and high-risk operations to protect national interests in the face of dare-devil and powerful web nets of criminal cartels determined to sabotage the nation’s economies and internal security.
